Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH "JOE" ANDREST November 24, 1921 - January 7, 2001 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the loss of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Joe was born and raised in St. Norbert, Manitoba. He married Edna (Gosselin) on January 3, 1948. He served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War and was employed with the C.N.R. until his retirement in 1985. He was a life time member of A.N.A.F. #60. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Frances (Niziol), two brothers Norbert and Edward, two sisters, Mary Sokol and Helen Turski and four siblings in infancy. He is survived by his wife Edna, daughter Christine and husband Alan Antoski, son Craig and wife Darlene (Stuart), three grandchildren Jason Antoski and Shawn and Amber Andrest all of Martensville, Saskatchewan. He is also survived by his brother Paul and wife Elaine of Shady Cove, Oregon. The family is grateful to all who looked after Joe during his lengthy illness, doctors, nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital and Riverview Centre. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Victoria Hospital (Research and Service Fund Inc.) 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg., MB, R3T 2E8 or to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2P4.
