ARTHUR HAROLD FINLAY On the 7th of January, 2001, at Oakville, Ont., Harold Finlay, age 93, went to his eternal rest. Harold is survived by his sister Verna Buckeridge of Kelowna, B.C.; by sons, Ron (Beryl) of Burlington, Ont. and Wayne (Cathy) of Winnipeg; grandsons, Chris of Columbus, Ohio, Craig (Laura) of Wanless, MB, David (Jasna) of Awaili, Kuwait, Bob of Toronto, Ont. and granddaughter Maria of Winnipeg and by great-grandson Drake Daniel of Awaili, Kuwait. Harold was predeceased by his beloved wife Hazel (Hooey) in 1985; his sister Margaret Wallace in 1989 and his infant brother Albert in 1902. Harold was born in and lived in Winnipeg until his retirement from the City of Winnipeg after 43 years of service. On retirement Hazel and Harold took up residence in Peachland, B.C. where they enjoyed a new home, new friends and many trips in every direction to visit old friends and relatives until Hazels death. Since that time, Harold had continued the travels on his own until he moved to Oakville in September of 1998 to reside in the Oakville Senior Citizens Center. There will be a memorial service held in Burlington, Ont. His remains will be cremated and the ashes buried at a later date near those of his wife Hazel in Peachland, B.C.
