ALPHONSE I. BERARD Alphonse I. Berard, aged 76 years, of St. Jean Baptiste, beloved husband of Lucille (nee Sabourin), passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2001 at the Morris General Hospital. Besides his dear wife, he leaves to mourn his passing his children, Lucette of Hull, Que., Roger (Rose-Marie Lundy) of Dunchurch, Ont., Normand (Gabrielle Cloutier) of Mission, B.C., Jacqueline (Jean-Yves Lord) of Aylmer, Que., Marc (Nicole Lafond) and Donald (Sharon Sawatzky) all of St. Jean Baptiste; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Serge Fortier (Linda Glaister), Alain Fortier (Allison Street) and Lucas, Keith Berard (Fonda Heart) and Keisha, Garth, Faith Hope, Patricia Berard (Sunny Stevens) and Monique, Mathew, Hope, Kirk Berard (Fleurette Campbell) and Maris, Jessica Berard, Renee Berard, Joel Lord (Nadia Gagnon) and Mathieu, Amelie, Eric Lord, Jean-Paul Berard, Janique Berard, Reanne Berard, Danica Berard and Corinne Berard. He is also survived by four sisters, Denise (Olivier Lafond), Rose-Emma (Joe Sloboda), Carmelle Berard, and Jeannette (Philippe Lagace). Alphonse was predeceased by his parents, Philodore and Marguerite Berard; and his brothers and sisters, Ovila (Cecile Dupuis), Rene (Winnie Stevens), Lucille (Edmond Lafond), and Paul-Emile (Marguerite Berard). Alphonse lived well, laughed often, and loved much. May we honour him by embracing this beautiful legacy in our lives. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church. Viewing at the church prior to mass.
