PETER J. FRIESEN Beloved husband and father, Peter Friesen, aged 94, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2001 at the St. Boniface Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Erna; daughters, Elenore Baylis (Ron) and Eliesabeth Vensel (Ted) sister Helen Klassen (Henry) and brother John Friesen (Mary). The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff in the hospital who cared for him so competently and compassionately. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m. at the McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Avenue, with interment to follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Steinbach Memorial Cemetery. Viewing Thursday, January 11 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway and at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg R3T 5K9. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
