Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN SOCHASKI (nee Nazimek) Passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years January 9, 2001 at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, Man. Jean was born December 1, 1918 at Komarno and grew up on the farm. She met Edward and was married in 1934 and then continued the farming tradition in the "Light School District". In 1944 her family moved to a farm at Pleasant Home. After a change in life, Jean moved to Winnipeg in 1975 where she did homecare duties for seniors and then returned to her roots in Komarno. Through her independence, strength and love she guided us in our journey through life. Mom enjoyed cooking and made the best home made chicken noodle soup and breads. She received great satisfaction in gardening. She loved travelling and toured all over the U.S. and Canada. Jean was predeceased by her sister Ludvine; her brothers, Joe and Frank; her husband Edward and her son-in-law Michael. Memories of Jean will be cherished by her brother, Julian Nazimek of Edmonton; three daughters, Alice (John) Boychyn, Bowmanville, Ont., Joyce (Karl) Gorham of Las Vegas, Delores Darowany of Malonton; grandchildren, Karen (Harry) Hoelzel, Ashburn, Ont, Jerry (Linda) Boychyn of Whitby, Ont., Tracy (Robert) Dallenbach of Las Vegas, David (Catherine) Lukinuk of Kelowna, B.C.; great grandchildren, Jamie, Jeremey, Alexandria and Eden Boychyn of Whitby, Ont., Kolt Gorham of Las Vegas and extended family and friends. Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. on Friday, January 12 in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Rev. Father Mark Gnutel will officiate and interment will follow at the Komarno Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Jean over the last few years.
