DAVID ARTHUR COLE (1924 - 2001) David passed away, after a lengthy illness, on January 9, 2001 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 76 years. David is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Margaret. He was a member of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Club and Midlothian Lodge #90 from which he received his 50 year jewel. He was a member of Khartum Shrine Temple, a life member of the Ancient Scotish Rite and also a member of Khartum Drum Corps for 17 years, then the Khartum Kops. He loved sewing pictures and all his other crafts. He was a man of many talents, loving his music and his trumpet. David had a good sense of humour even though he was disabled for 21 years and had a kind word and a bit of humour for everyone. Thanks to Dr. G. J. Welch, the nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital for their excellent care given him and a very special thanks to Donald and Jean Elcheshen. Cremation has taken place, there will be no service.
