ALEX ROGOWSKI Peacefully, Saturday, January 6, 2001, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Alex Rogowski passed away at the age of 82. Alex was born and raised in the Meleb area and farmed there until moving to Winnipeg in 1971. He worked for the City of Winnipeg, specializing in carpentry, until his retirement in 1983. A kind and gentle man, he was always willing to lend a hand. Uncle Alex will be remembered fondly by his family, for projects in which he so eagerly took part. He will remain forever in the hearts and prayers of his brother John (Millie) sisters-in-law, Anne, Lena and Tillie; nephews and nieces, Ron, Allan, Raymond, Joe, Irene, Ramona, Laura, and Frank; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Ksenka and Joseph; his brothers, Steve, Fred, and Harry; his nephews, Mike and Melvin; and most recently by his beloved sister Elsie. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 13 at 3:00 p.m at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital in the ER and on the fifth floor, that comforted Alex in his final days. And moreover, to the Kildonan Medical Centre, many home care providers, and VON that had provided exceptional care over the past few years. Flowers are gratefully declined, but donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Alexs honour. Rest in Peace. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
