MARION GERTRUDE WOOD (nee NOBLE) November 27, 1917 - January 9, 2001 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife and mother, Marion, born in Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Florence Noble and her brother Walter and his twin sister Margaret. She is survived by her husband Douglas of 51 years; three sons and a daughter, Gavin (Joy), Gordon (Lori), David and Judith (Jon) and three grandchildren, Amanda, David Jr. and Samuel. Marion also leaves many close friends who were very special to her. Marion spent her early working years in the advertising department of the Winnipeg Free Press. She also worked at the YMCA where she met her husband. She loved her cottage at St. Laurent where she spent many happy summers with her children and her husband. Good-bye my family, my life has passed. I loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take. Love for each other, for my sake. For those you love dont go away, They walk beside you every day. Rest in peace; we love you forever. Funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2001 at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Private interment at Chapel Lawn. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the Salvation Army.
