LLOYD PETERS It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Lloyd Peters at the age of 53 years, on January 6, 2001, while on a business trip in Phoenix, Arizona. Lloyd leaves to mourn Carlene, his wife of 30 years; his daughter Jillian; his mother Evelyn; brothers Kenny, (Joni), Donnie and sisters, Nancy Brophy (Gene), Glenna and Sandi Doiron. He was predeceased by his father Augustine and sister Jonie. Lloyd was born in North Rustico, Prince Edward Island where he spent his youth. After a brief service in the Royal Canadian Navy, Lloyd pursued a career in Manitoba, spending 25 years with the Provincial Government, during which time he received his CGA designation. Although having spent most of his adult life in Manitoba, Lloyd never lost his passion for Prince Edward Island and visited the Island on a regular basis. Lloyd enjoyed sharing his home as well as his trailer at the lake with family and friends, all of whom will deeply miss him. Flowers are gratefully declined; expressions of sympathy may be made through memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB. R3B 2J1. A Funeral Service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway, on Saturday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. G. R. Killen officiating. Lloyds ashes will be scattered off of the shores of PEI at a later date. The family wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support of both Lloyd and Carlenes co-workers as well as their many friends and neighbours. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
