Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD FRANK LYNDON It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Frank Lyndon, on January 11, 2001, after a long battle with cancer. Ron is survived by his wife Margaret, his son Robin Bruce (Alayne) of Vancouver, daughter Heather-Anne (Reid) and grandson Tristan. He is also survived by his brother Mervyn (Joyce) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Ethel; brothers, Doug (Phyllis) and William (Laurie). Ron was born in Winnipeg, Man., May 1, 1924. His early years were spent in St. Vital and in Balmoral, Man., where he was actively involved in both hockey and baseball. Ron joined the RCAF and served in England, France, Holland and Germany. While serving in England, Ron met and married his wife Margaret. After the war they returned to Winnipeg and resided for many years in the North End, before moving to River Heights. Rons work took him into a number of fields. He ran his own heating business and also worked for many years with both Eatons and Beaver Lumber. Ron was a strong generous soul who gave of himself to all who asked. He shared his vast knowledge with many, not without comment on how we each didnt quite understand how to do the task... Ron was a member of the Masons (Fort Garry Lodge), serving in a variety of positions including Master of the Lodge. According to Rons wishes cremation has occurred. A service to celebrate Rons life will be held on Thursday, January 18, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Johns Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave. The family would like to thank all the generous, caring and supportive staff of the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit, especially Dr. Daeninck, Rachel and Sandy, the HSC Oncology Dept., Dr. Navaratnam and Jane Olsen, Primary Nurse, Dr. Erwin Braun, Dr. F. Crow and the Very Rev. Bob Osborne, together with the many friends and family who were frequent visitors during Rons illness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Endowment Fund, or St. Johns Cathedral Organ Fund. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
