MARGARET LOEWEN Peacefully on January 10, 2001, Margaret Loewen passed away in hospital in Duncan, B.C., at the age of 93. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lily and son-in-law Edward Danielsen and grandchildren, Susan (Scott Baerg) and Reid Danielsen, Susan (Jon VanGeel) and Douglas (Tracey) Loewen, Gary (Debbie), Colin (Andrea), Derek (Tara) Loepp and Joanne (Darren) Funk; great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved so much and who will remember her as the amazing, caring little lady she was. Predeceased by an infant son Albert and stepchildren, Walter Loewen and Hilda (Conn) Loepp. Mom was born, Margaret Nickel, the youngest of 12, on March 19, 1907 in Omsk, Siberia. She arrived in Winnipeg in 1930 where she raised her family, ran a rooming house and worked as a seamstress until moving to Vancouver in 1979. A memorial service will be held on January 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Richmond Funeral Chapel, 8420 Cambie Road in Richmond. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
