Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE BARBARA SMITH-CARLSON On Tuesday, January 9, 2001, Lorraine Barbara Smith-Carlson of Edmonton, aged 53 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her mother Helen Smith (nee Brinsmead) of White Rock; son James Carlson (Sasha) of Calgary; daughter Kathryn Carlson of Edmonton; sisters, Sharon (Doug) Ferris of Calgary and Karen (Allan) Hay of White Rock and special nieces and nephews, Deborah and Fraser Hay and Brett and Caroline Ferris. Lorraine was predeceased by her father Douglas Spearman Smith of Calgary (1993). Lorraine grew up in Winnipeg and graduated in 1969 from the Calgary Foothills School of Nursing. She spent the last 15 years in Palliative Home Care in Edmonton where her dedication, expertise and caring brought comfort to many. Family and friends were the cornerstone of Lorraines life and she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Howard & McBride Westlawn, 16310 - Stony Plain Rd., Edmonton, AB. Floral tributes gratefully declined.
