HELEN LOUISE WAPLES Peacefully after a short illness Helen Louise Waples passed at the St. Boniface Hospital on Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband Rodney in 1986. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Florence (Orest) Dackow, of Denver CO, Sheila (Bob) De Cruyeneare of St. Adolph MB, Ralph (Lauren) grandchildren, Trevor, Heather, Donna, Jared, Ryan (Kim Gutoski), Derek, Erika, Brigit, Stefan, Greta and one great-grandchild Haley Marie; sisters, Mildred Malcolm, Bev Schaeffer; brothers, George and Glen Bond and their families. Helen lived her entire life in Winnipeg and loved the prairies, rivers and lakes. She and Rod enjoyed camping, canoeing, fishing and they passed this love on to their children. She had a special connection to all children and they knew her gentle and kind nature. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 15 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family wish to thank to staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, 6th floor, for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Winnipeg MB, R2L 1X3, or to a charity of your choice.
