Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED HENRY JAMES (BILL) BURROWS 1923-2001 Passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan 11, 2001 at his home. He will be sorely missed by his wife of 56 years, Joyce; daughters, Jane (Paul), Peggy; son James (Katherine) and two grandsons, Ian and James; sister Norma and brother Reg and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill served three years in the Royal Canadian Airforce as a pilot, instructor and navigator. After the war he joined Air Canada where he was an employee for 33 years. After his retirement he served as President of the Air Canada Retirement Club for a number of years. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bill was a staunch supporter of the Credit Union movement, serving on the board of the Airline Credit Union and the League, and was President for two years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and curling and especially his get togethers with friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. If friends so desire, donations in Wilfreds memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba., R3B 2H8., or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba., R3C OS6.
