Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD BRYAN CHALMERS Donald Bryan Chalmers passed away peacefully in North Vancouver on January 2, 2001 at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret McKay in 1996. Don was born and raised in Winnipeg. He served as a Sergeant in the army during the Second World War. Don taught Industrial Arts for many years at Kelvin and Fort Garry High Schools and even continued to substitute teach well into his 70s. He loved his art and will be remembered for his expert woodwork and his paintings. He got great pleasure from giving away his inlaid bowls and bracelets to friends and relatives. Margaret and Don split their time between the farm in St. Norbert and their home in town. Don will be fondly remembered by his son Bryan; daughter-in-law Judy and his granddaughters. Donations may be sent to the Alzheimers Society.
