MARY ELIZABETH MANN April 21, 1909 - January 11, 2001 Peacefully, on January 11, 2001 at the Winnipeg Convalescent Home, after a lengthy illness with Alzheimers, our Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother passed away at the age of 91. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Val in 1972; cherished grandson Brian in 1978; her parents, John and Elizabeth Adam and one brother, Karl Adam. Left to cherish Moms memory are two sons and their families, Norman (Terry), Ron (Doris) grandchildren, Brenda (Jerry), Cathy, Brock (Pat), Darren (Cheryl) six great-grandchildren, Kelly, Brandyn, Breanne, Courtney, Emily and Madeline. Mom was born in Austria, immigrating to Canada in 1927 to marry Val the same year. She lived all her life in Winnipeg. Mom was very devoted to her family and cherished the family gatherings. In 1984, she took up residence at the Winnipeg Convalescent Home where she remained until her passing. Mom truly enjoyed her years at the Home. We would like to thank the Convalescent Home for their loving care and support given to our Mom. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 17 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Viewing will take place one hour prior to service. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marys memory may be made to Alzheimer Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
