Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GEORGINA SUTTON Mary Sutton passed away peacefully Friday, January 12, 2001 at the Boyne Lodge, in Carman with her granddaughter Racille North R.N. by her side. She was born in Morden, MB. Oct. 27, 1897. Married Newton G. Sutton December 3, 1919, and farmed in the Roland area until they retired to Roland and later resided in the Boyne Towers, Carman. They raised a family of five. She was a life member of the U.C.W., and W.M.S., and a charter member of the Roland Friendship Centre. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, hem stitching, music, drama and cards. Mary had the unique distinction of living in three different centuries. She was aware of world situations and enjoyed staying abreast of current events. Her wisdom and wit endeared her to all to the very end. She is survived by two daughters, Myrene Hodgson of Winnipeg, and Elinor Smithson (Walter) of Carman; a daughter-in-law Jeanne Sutton, of Roland; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mary was predeceased by her husband Newton G. Sutton; one son Ralph; two daughters, Dorothy Green and Joyce Sandulak and their husbands, Gordon and Peter and son-in-law Ron Hodgson. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Roland United Church, in Roland, MB. Interment will take place in the family plot in Fairview Cemetery, Roland, MB. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 1644, Carman, MB or to a charity of ones choice. Doyles Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.
