DAISY ISABEL McGILL (nee THOMPSON) Peacefully on the evening of January 10, 2001, Daisy Isabel McGill passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Daisy was born on November 16, 1911 in Fairlight, SK, and lived in Winnipeg since she was married. Daisy worked for 20 years for the T. Eaton Company in the Sales Audit Department. She was a longtime member of the St. James Rebecca Lodge No. 47. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Annie Thompson; infant brother Alex; sister Catherine; brother Fred; and her husband Herbert. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Kenneth, daughter-in-law Susanne, grandson Shannon, granddaughter Shawna (and friend Chris Llewellyn) and other family and friends. Special thanks to Lavina, Cheryl, Paul and all the staff of 3C of Riverview Health Centre for their dedicated and loving care. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, a donation in memory of Daisy can be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 15 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with visitation one half hour prior to the service time.
