DOROTHY EDITH (EDIE) MCMILLAN Peacefully on January 11, 2001, in her 79th year, Edie passed away with her family by her side. Edie was predeceased by her husband Ivan in 1981. She will be lovingly remembered by her son David (Gwenne) her daughter Donna (Eddy) Drimes; her son Dennis (Nellie) her daughter Bonnie (Jack) Herselman; her grandchildren, Corrie, Brent, Ryan, Dean, Dan, Craig, Tracy, Christy, Tamara, Teresa, Todd, Toby; four great-grandchildren, Karalyn, Amberly, Jayden and Emma Jean; her brother Ernie (Myrtle) Karnes; her sisters, Helen Thomson (Jim) and Edna (Bob) Chapman and nieces and nephews. Edie had many wonderful in-laws and numerous friends and they all will truly miss her gracious, kind and cheery nature. She had a smile that could warm any heart. Fond farewell to her special friends, Betty Irene and Pam, along with her many wonderful friends, Consulate North and Amber Meadow. Edie was born on March 21, 1921, at Silton, Sask. She spent most of her adult life in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Edie was a very caring and loving confidante to her children, and she found great happiness in family gatherings. She was happily and anxiously awaiting the birth of her fifth great-grandchild, Tamaras due to arrive any day. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., Monday, January 15, at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. "You were our mother, our grandmother, our friend, our strength, and you were always there to support us." Rest in Peace, we love you forever. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Health Sciences Centre for their valiant efforts, care and kindness.
