Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILMA BEATRICE ROSS Peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre, Hilma Beatrice Ross passed away at the age of 65 years. Hilma was born and raised at Dauphin River where she was a Commercial Fisherman on Lake Winnipeg and spent many years as a cook. She enjoyed knitting, picking berries and helping her husband trap. Hilma loved helping all people. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Elizabeth; daughter Lorette and son Clarence. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her step mother Janet; daughter Vivan (Alex) sons, Daniel (Lorna) and Garnet; sister Joyce; half sisters, Selena (Hector), Lena (William) and Betty (Chris) half brothers, Reginald (Jessie), Willard (Eleanor) and Clifford; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, special grandson Fabian Seymour whom she raised; stepsons, Charles and Lindsey; stepdaughters, Vivian, Zelma, Gail, Burnell, Corinne and Doris and her favourite grandson Chap. There are numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Prayers were said on Saturday, January 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. Wake service will be held on Sunday, January 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Little Saskatchewan Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Little Saskatchewan Pentecostal Church with Pastor Gerald Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at the Little Saskatchewan Cemetery. Special thanks to the Health Sciences Centre Doctors and Nursing staff for the care and kindness given to Hilma during her stay.
