ROBERT LLOYD BAUER After a lengthy illness, on January 12, 2001, Bob peacefully passed away at Riverview Health Centre. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Arla; daughters Shannon (Kris) Wright and Tracy; mother Hazel; brothers, John (Gail), Larry and Randy (Karen) nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends and his dog Punky. He was predeceased by his father John in 1996. Bob was born on October 3, 1951 in Winnipeg and lived most of his life in Morse Place. Bob was active in the community, playing and coaching hockey and baseball in his youth. He enjoyed many sports, especially Slo-pitch with the Munroe Huskies, fishing and golfing with the Dirty Dozen and the Grand Bastards. He had a great sense of humour and loved to have fun. Bob was also very proud of the accomplishments of his daughters, son-in-law, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and trips to Laclu and Rush Bay. Always the optimist, Bob faced his illness with courage and strength. He started each day with a fresh outlook and hope. He fought the good fight. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Narrandes and the excellent staff of AB1 for the kindness and care shown to Bob and to our family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobs memory to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4 or a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Reception to follow in the funeral home reception area.
