Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGES PACHET December 21, 1920 - January 12, 2001 On Friday January 12, 2001 after a brief stay in Sharp Hospital at his chosen winter home in Mazatlan, Mexico George passed on to a better life. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 42 years, Odette and his four sons, Daniel of Winnipeg, Roger (Nova), grandchildren, Sheena, Luc and Shawn of Winnipeg; Ronald (Leanne) of Salt Spring Island, B.C.; Norbert of Winnipeg. He is also survived by four sisters, Jeanne Jobin and Marie Binne of St. Claude, Eugenie Dondo of Montreal and Madeleine (Omer) Levasseur of Ottawa; sisters-in-law, Henriette Swan of Portage la Prairie, Simone du Bourg and Augustine Dupasquier of St. Claude; brother-in-law Ken Jackson of Winnipeg; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Georgette Magne in 1997, and by two brothers, Charles in 1979 and Denis in 1922. Georges sons and their families are thankful they were given the joy of celebrating his 80th birthday and the Christmas season with their parents in Mazatlan. Dad was in excellent spirits during this quality family time. His infectious laugh and sparkling blue eyes were ever present on the beach or out about the town. Dad was a "gadget-maker extraordinaire", always ready to fix or improve anything that needed it. We loved to hear his stories and experiences which he shared with zest and animation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on Thursday January 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church, with Father Rodrigue Bouchard officiating. Interment at a later date. If so desired,donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 190 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9.
