CAROL ANN PALESHNUIK (nee Chrzanowski) February 9, 1941 - January 14, 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear loved one at Seven Oaks Hospital on Sunday, January 14, 2001. Carol will be sadly missed by her husband, John, of 39 years; daughter Lisa (Richard), granddaughter Emily; son-in-law Jack Grywinski, grandsons, Adam and Kyle; brother Ken Chrzanowski, wife Darlene, daughters, Jody (Nelson), Jocelyn (Mike, daughter Ashley) and Jennifer. She was predeceased by her parents John and Ann Chrzanowski and daughter Lois Grywinski. Carol will be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, many friends and neighbours. Carol was a very caring person who often put others ahead of herself. She was a member of St. Anthonys Parish as well as a member of the Catholic Womens League. She enjoyed her Friday night bowling with the St. Anthonys mixed bowling league. Carol loved family time with all the special occasions and cooking a "good" Sunday supper for her family. She looked forward to spending the summer days at her family summer home in Winnipeg Beach, camping with family at Hecla Island, fussing over her garden, making homemade soup, watching her favourite soap opera Young and the Restless, and babysitting her granddaughter Emily whom she referred to as a Ray of Sunshine. Carol especially enjoyed her family, her grandchildren who meant the world to her and she was always there for her grandsons, Adam and Kyle, whom she wanted to give that mothers touch into their lives after they lost their own mother Lois a year and a half ago to Leukemia. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. with Rev. Fr. Terance P. McGrath officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Richard Hares, Jack Grywinski, Ed Paleshnuik, Grant Loughheed, Jeff Houghton and Ed Hanke. The family would like to express their thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, as well as Dr. McMillan, Dr. Shojania, Dr. Walli, and special thanks to Fr. Terance McGrath. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Leukemia Research Foundation or the Liver Foundation. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
