ROSIANNE (ROSE) DESROSIERS Peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2001, Rosianne passed away into the arms of the Lord at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie in 1987, her parents Edmond and Marie-Antoinette DesRosiers, and by her brothers, Donat, Emilio, Antonin and her sisters, Anna and Aline. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Rolande Fontaine (Maurice), Jacqueline St. Vincent (Roland), Leo, and Aline. "Memere" will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Monique Courcelles (Aurele), Daniel Fontaine (Kendra), Nicole Neveux (Patrick), Richard, Maurice and Janine St. Vincent, Angele (Fiance Philippe Jolicoeur), Rene and Karly Kulczycki. Her eyes lit up when she held any of her five great-grandchildren, Jean-Marc and Ghyslain Courcelles, Justin Fontaine, Keanen Perron and Isabelle Gauthier. Rose also leaves to mourn her passing her sisters and brother, Jeanne Stragier (Gabe), Lucille Toupin (George), Fabiola Turcotte (Gerard) and Jean DesRosiers. Rose was born in St. Boniface on December 6, 1918. "Maman" devoted a great portion of her life raising her children. Once the children were established, she returned to school and then worked at Investors Syndicate for 18 years. She was a devoted wife and mother and a most loving and caring person. She will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Daniel Fontaine, Rene Kulczycki, Maurice St. Vincent, Richard St. Vincent, Angele Kulczycki and Janine St. Vincent. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Eglise du Precieux Sang, 200 Kenny Street, with Rev. Fr. Marcel Chaput officiating. Readings will be done by Karly Kulczycki, Monique Courcelles and Nicole Neveux. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, anyone wishing to honour Roses memory may do so by making a donation to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 409 Tache Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6, or to a charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank Dr. George Balko and the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Unit for their gentle care and support during this very difficult time.
