MICHAEL FRANCIS McCOY Passed away on Monday, November 13, 2000 in East Bethel, Minnesota. Born in Winnipeg on March 1, 1927, the third son of Michael Patrick McCoy and Euphemia Jamieson Torrance. Grew up in West Kildonan, attended Centennial School. After graduating from St. Pauls College he started his first job with Osler, Hammond and Nanton. He then went to work for Bird Construction as a Timekeeper, then signed on for a five year Bricklayers Apprenticeship. Mick was very proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Air Corps. After being discharged, he took full advantage of the G.I. Bill, attended the University of North Dakota, graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering, joined the Engineering Department of the 3 M Co., in St. Paul Minnesota, remained there until retirement. Mick is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirlee, daughters Julie and husband John Fitzgerald III, of Dallas, Texas, Kelly and husband Lorne Berg of Minnesota, three grandchildren, four brothers, Ed, Robert, Alf and George. Predeceased by father 1972, mother 1992, sister-in-law Beth (Andrews) 1991. Funeral service was held Friday, November 17, 2000 in Minnesota.
