LIE FONG WONG (LEE) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lie Fong Wong on January 12, 2001, at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Lie Fong was born in Canton, China on July 8, 1912. She came to Canada in May, 1954. She was predeceased by her loving husband Charlie Wong on August 15, 1982. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her children, Henry (Jenny) Wong, Winnie (Bing) Lee of London, ON, and Julie (George) Wong of Toronto, ON. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Roy (Velda) Wong of Jacksonville, FL, Joyce Wong (Gary Sova), Joan Wong (Fred Harder), Janet Wong (Alan Habbick) of Toronto, Rob Wong, Angus Lee, Suzanna Lee, and Kevin Lee, Gary Wong, and Jenny Wong. She will also be lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Janine, Jelena, Raquel, Riley, Jessica, Christina and Cory. Lie Fong comes from a very large family and will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will take place from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, Kerrs Funeral Chapel, 120 Adelaide St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m, at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
