Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISAAC (IKE) FUNK It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather on January 15, 2001. Ike is survived by his loving wife Joy of 45 years and his devoted children, Cynthia, Mitch (Evelyn), Aaron (Jen) and his precious granddaughter Chelsea. Also survived by Joys family, Bruce (Phyllis), Victor (Yolanda), Gayle (Lock), Susan (Wayne) and his dear nieces and nephews and their families. Ike was predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Elizabeth; brother Cornelius; sister Helena; sister-in-law Helen and brother-in-law Dave. He was born in Gretna, MB on March 29, 1932. He worked for the City of Winnipeg Assessment Department for 32 years, retiring in 1989. Along with his quiet faith, Ike had a real zest for life, seeing the best in everyone. He enjoyed so many things including bird watching, sports, woodworking, hunting, crosswords, classical music and Robert Service poetry. Time spent with his treasured family and friends were some of his happiest moments and he will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched. Dad was so special. The family would like to thank the caring and supportive staff on 2B-St. Boniface Hospital and also a thank you to Dr. Bhattacharya for trying so hard to save him. A special thank you to Carol, Bill, Kolleen and Don for your ongoing support. A celebration of Ikes life will be held Friday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Dr. with Reverends Don Lawrence and Kolleen Karlowsky officiating. Flowers gratefully declined.
