IRENE RITCHOT (KELLEY) (nee WARD) January 6, 1915 - January 14, 2001 After a lengthy illness, at the age of 86 years, Irene Ritchot passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital on Sunday, January 14, 2001. Irene leaves to mourn son Don Kelley; daughter Norma Desbiens; grandchildren, Kelly Desbiens and family; Darryle Desbiens and family; Mary-Ann and Richard Kopys and family; Ivan and Catherine Morais and family of Calgary; brother Fred (Joan) Slater and family, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by husbands, R. Kelley and E. Ritchot, six brothers and two sisters. Irene had a heart of gold and helped anyone who needed a hand. She enjoyed bingo trips with friends, playing cards, working around her home and working in her garden. Irenes favourite time of year was spending holidays with the family. Funeral service will be on Thursday, January 18 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Padre Stan Millar officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. If friends so desire, donations in Irenes memory may be made to The Salvation Army Memorial Fund, 500 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 1L8, or to a charity of your choice.
