Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN ELIZABETH SHARP Suddenly on January 15, 2001, Helen Elizabeth Sharp passed away at the Misericordia Hospital, at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband Frank. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her only son Richard, his wife Linda, and two grandsons Grant and Adam. Helen was born in Francis, SK, to Allen and Mary Campbell. Helen studied nursing at the St. Boniface Hospital, and upon her graduation served overseas during the Second World War. After returning from the war, Helen married Frank and they moved to Winnipeg, where they raised their son, Richard. Helen continued her nursing career, working part-time at the Municipal Hospitals. Mom was a nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver. Helen always found the time to help those who needed her at South Osbourne Co-op, where she lived. She had a great zest for life that was unparalleled by anyone we know. She always had chocolate bars and candies for her grandkids. Helen loved to play cards and watch sports and the news on T.V. Mom never missed a special occasion and will be missed at the family dinners. In accordance with Helens wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB, R3B 2H8, or the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3A 1P6.
