FLORENCE DRAWARD With deep sadness we wish to announce the passing of our Mom and Grandma, Florence Maude Draward, at the age of 76, on January 14, 2001 at Victoria General Hospital with her family at her side. Mom leaves to mourn her passing, her loving daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Craig Auld; dearly loved grandsons, Jeffrey and Jamie Auld. Also surviving are sister, Joan Malinowski of Preeceville, Sask.; brother, George Parsons of Red Deer, Alta.; nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her parents Florence and George Parsons; sister and brother-in-law Vera and Kenny Roberts; sister-in-law Irene Parsons and brother-in-law Joe Malinowski. Mom was born in Birmingham, England, coming to Canada with her parents and sisters at a young age. She worked hard to provide a good life for herself and her daughter. Mom was caregiver and companion to her mother for many years after the passing of her father. Many happy summers were spent at "the trailer" and Grand Beach. Mom was very adept at knitting and crocheting, making many beautiful sweaters, baby outfits and doilies. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, curling and golfing and was always ready to play bingo. Mom thoroughly enjoyed her trips to Florida and Las Vegas with Marg, Craig and the boys. She retired from Canadian Linen in 1988 after many years of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
