Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER ALEXANDER PARKER It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of Walter Alexander Parker (Blackie), on February 15, 2001, at St. Annes, Man. We will miss his boisterous personality, his eagerness to provide a helping hand, his participation in Wednesday bowling and Wednesday evening cribbage tournaments and his enthusiastic golfing. Dad was born and raised in Regina, Sask., and at the age of 19 enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy to serve in the Second World War. At the end of the war, he returned to Regina where he soon became employed with the Canadian Pacific Railways. Dad worked for the C.P.R. 38 years, retiring in 1983. Walter (Dad) was predeceased by his first wife Vera, grandson Stephen and brother-in-law Shelley. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Helen; his children, Barry, Brian (Tracy) and Lynn (John) grandchildren, Cathy, Jody, Jeff, Kim, Chris, Jon, Carolyn and Brynn; his only sister Helen; stepchildren, Wayne (Helen), Carol, Connie (Del), Jack and their children, Jared, Shauna, Tyler, Eric and Amy as well as one niece Cheryl (Rob). Walters (Dads) wishes were not to have a formal service, and in keeping with this a private family memorial service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined and if friends so desire a donation may be made to the Salvation Army Memorial Fund, 500 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg Man., R3C 1L8.
