JEAN ALLEN Peacefully on January 15, 2001, at Holy Family Nursing Home, Jean entered Eternal Peace after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers disease. Jean was predeceased by her husband James, her parents Peter and Julia Stepanoff, and her sisters Mary and Ann. She leaves to mourn her sister, Sonya Dremin, and several nieces and nephews. Jean was born and raised in Winnipeg. She married, but shortly thereafter lost her husband in the Second World War. She became employed at Eatons and developed a great love for travel. Up until her illness set in, she would brighten our family dinners with stories of her various travel adventures. The family extends a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home, who devoted many years of loving care to Jean during the final phase of her life. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2001 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates your donation to the Alzheimers Society of Winnipeg, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 4G2. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
