Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES FREDERICK MURKIN May 31, 1922 - January 17, 2001 Surrounded by his family, Jim passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17 at Riverview Health Centre. He will be sadly missed by wife Agnes (Libby) sons, Henry and Dale (Karen) daughters, Susan (Kenton) and Elaine (Russ) and grandchildren, Tamara, Jonathan, Christine, Sarah, Patrick, Rueben, Amanda, Virginia, Clayton, Zela, Norah and Delaney and great-grandson Conally and sister Mary. Jim retired in 1983 from Canadian Pacific Railway after 42 years at the Weston Shops. His passions included working in his garage, fishing, hunting and time "at the lake". For his long service to Seven Oaks Game and Fish Association as President and Junior Rifle instructor, he was awarded a life membership to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation in 1989. A lifetime resident of Brooklands, he was president of Brooklands Recreation Centre for a number of years. A long list of organizations, friends and neighbours benefitted from his willingness and ability to fix and build almost anything. A Memorial service for Jim will be held at the Riverview Health Centre Chapel, 1 Morley Avenue on Saturday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow the service in the Thomas Sill Auditorium adjacent to the Chapel. A private interment to follow. Jims family would like to thank the entire staff of the 4 West Wing at Riverview Health Centre for the wonderful care they provided to him (and us) over the past few months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation. NEIL BARDAL INC 949-2200
