ROSEMARIE CONSTANCE FRANCIS (nee COOMS) Peacefully, December 23, 2000 at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Norman Francis. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Anita Cooms (Winnipeg), Jeanette Companion (Edmonton), Nora Ingliss (Port Alice, B.C.) and Lucille Thigpen (San Bernadino, Ca.) Rose was predeceased by her parents, James and Peggy Cooms and sister Fern Wojciki. Mom was born on September 18, 1931 in Winnipeg. She loved crosswords, reading and enjoyed playing Scrabble and Yahtzee with family and friends. She loved animals and her pets were always considered part of the family. Above all Mom loved her family and will be deeply missed by her children, Jim Francis (Andrea), Wayne Francis (Joan) of Vernon, B.C., Noreen Scheuer (Peter), Gloria Loudon (Brian), Carol Kerr (Ron) of East Braintree, Man. Mom was predeceased by her son Norman in 1954. She will be lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren and her one great-grandson. Mom will be sadly missed but will remain in our hearts forever. We all loved her deeply as she loved us. A service will be held on January 24 at Christ Church, 1735 Corydon Ave. 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
