Date of Passing: Jan 17, 2001Offer Condolences or Memory
D. BRUCE W. FORRESTER, Q.C. On Wednesday, January 17, 2001, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away at the age of 82 years. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Grace; son Ross, wife Heidi and grandson Liam of Winnipeg; daughter Gaiann, husband Chris and grandchildren, Lee, Asta and Keanna of Beaumont, AB. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Edna; and brother Bob of Emerson, MB. Born and raised in Emerson, Bruce helped out on the family farm for many years. He then followed his desire to help people, and in his fathers footsteps became a lawyer. A proud, fair and honest man, Bruce carried these traits with him to his law practice in Winnipeg. Bruces love of curling led him to become the president of the Granite Curling Club in the early sixties, and his son Ross shares his passion for the sport. Bruce also loved to golf at the St. Charles and Elmhurst Golf and Country Clubs. A dedicated family man, Bruce cared for his family deeply. We will always remember the many family fishing trips and picnics we shared together at the lake, as well as the family birthdays and get-togethers at the New Nanking Restaurant in Winnipeg. The Forrester family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the caring, capable staff of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, the staff from HomeCare, and the first responders of the Winnipeg Fire Department. Funeral services will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Firefighters Burn Fund. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
