Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR SODOMSKY It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Arthur Sodomsky on January 18, 2001 at age 91. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria of 68 years; sons, Kenneth (Betty) of Reading, Pennsylvania, Martin (Marilyn) of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Shelley (Barry) Segal, Allan (Robin), Daniel, Michelle (Jim) Salmans, Joseph (Galit) Breman, Jennifer Breman, and Rebecca Sodomsky; great-grandchildren, Joseph Segal, Ariel Sodomsky, Julia Segal and Sam Sodomsky. He is survived by his sister, Bella Soloway, Roslyn (Norman) Shiffman, David (Cecilia) and numerous nephews and nieces. Arthur Sodomsky was a lifelong resident of Winnipeg. He and his father, Moses, and his brother Harry, owned and operated Western Asbestos Co. Ltd for many years, a well known and highly respected business in Winnipeg. He was on the Board of Directors at Rosh Pina Synagogue. He was well known for his generosity and sharp wit. He will be sorely missed by his friends at the Rosh Pina Apartment Building and by his many business associates and friends in the community. Funeral services will be held at Rosh Pina Synagogue on Sunday, January 21 at 1:30 p.m. with Rabbi Neal Rosen officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Sharon Home, 146 Magnus, Winnipeg.
