ISABELLE DUNWOODY (Nee BYIERS Peacefully just minutes before her birthday at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home on January 19, 2001. Isabelle was born January 20, 1928 and was raised in Winnipeg. After her marriage in 1947 she moved to Pointe du Bois where she raised her family and was an active member of the community. Mom suffered a severe stroke in 1995 and has since been a resident of the Personal Care Home in Lac du Bonnet. She has faced many challenges, all with determination and courage, tempered by her special manner and spirited humour. She leaves to cherish her memory her seven children, Judy (Glen) Romanow, George (Arlene) Dunwoody, Sheila (Keith) Veilleux, Ruth (Bob) Braybrook, Cathy Olive, Pat (Don) Cure, and Peggy DiClemente; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Henwood and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Sam (1993), father George (1933), mother Barbara (1975), sister Georgina (1968), brother Peter (2000), and son-in-law Bill Olive (2000). The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Van Gend and staff at both Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home and Pinawa Hospital for the wonderful care given to our Mom over the past several years. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, January 24, at 1:00 p.m. St. Johns Anglican Church in Lac du Bonnet at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.Brain Rountree officiating.
