JESSIE (JEAN) BROWN (nee ZACHARKOW) Peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2001 at the River East Personal Care Home, Jessie passed away at the age of 90 years. Jessie left Winnipeg in 1939 and went to live in Toronto where she met and married her first husband James Howard. Jessie returned and settled in Winnipeg in 1974 with her second husband Bill where she was reunited with family and friends. She is survived by her brother Ted and his wife Anne; as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by James in 1956, and her second husband Bill Brown in 1983; her parents, Joseph and Ahafia; her brothers, William Harrow (1965), Mike Zacharkow (1972) and John Harrow (1999) sisters, Julia White and Mary Petriw (1993). Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. with Fr. Isidore Dziadyk O.S.B.M. officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Harrow, Ron White, Garry Petriw, Allan Gogush, Brian Bilous and Reg Berezuk. Special thanks to Kathy, Megan, Nancy and all the staff at River East E Wing and C Wing for their compassionate and understanding care during her 7 years at home and also to Dr. John Kreml.
