NETTIE FRIESEN Suddenly on Friday, January 19, 2001 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Nettie, beloved wife of Isaac K. "Ike" Friesen, passed away at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her second husband Isaac "Ike" Friesen; one son Wayne R. Andrews and family of Powell River, B.C.; daughter-in-law Sylvia Andrews; four daughters, Irene (Abe) Friesen of Grunthal, Barbara (Ron) St. Cyr, Ponteix, SK, Karen (Gordon) Crowe, Shelburne, NS, Janice (David) Beazley, Oakville, ON, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, step-children, Bob and Judy, Art and Deb, Len and Jean, and Albert, 12 step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren all of Winnipeg. Also surviving are three brothers, Jacob, Peter, John and their families; two sisters, Mary and Martha and their families and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Nettie was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Jacob K. and Aganetha Penner; her first husband John Andrews; one son John Sheldon Andrews and one granddaughter Brenda in infancy. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23 at the Grunthal Bergthaler Church. Interment at the Grunthal Cemetery. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel Monday, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with devotional to follow and with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are grandchildren of Nettie and Ike Friesen; Rob Friesen, Greg Beazley, Shane Beazley, Shaun Edwards, Justin Edwards, and Shannon Edwards.
