CAROL ANNE DOYLE (nee PEABODY) It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Carol Doyle, beloved wife of Patrick, on Saturday, January 20, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, at the age of 62. Besides her husband Patrick of 44 years, she leaves to cherish her memory her dear mother Lil Peabody; sister Shirley and husband Allan Bircham; niece Sharon and her family of Calgary, AB; nephews, Dean and his family of London, England, Allan and his family, and Gary and his family of Winnipeg; along with other family, friends and neighbours. Carol was predeceased by her father William in 1966, and brother William in 1982. Carol was born on July 29, 1938 and grew up in the West End of Winnipeg where she attended school. She was employed at the Health Sciences Centre - Childrens Centre for 25 years, retiring in 1989. Carol enjoyed her retirement, especially the trips to the States, time with family and friends at the lake, taking care of her and her moms garden, and learning to drive. She loved photography and the family will cherish the lovely albums she created. Carol loved animals and even as a young girl, would bring home strays. She always had pets and considered them part of her family. She will be sadly missed by her special dog Penny, who she loved dearly. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 24 at 11:30 a.m at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. Carol was a loving and giving person who will be sadly missed by family and friends. Donations in Carols memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
