Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory(RON) W. CHADWICK After a short illness, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2001 at Kelowna General Hospital in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Helen (Johnson) Winnipeg of 56 years. Cherished father of Theresa Chadwick and partner Barbara Stephen and Gregg Chadwick all of Toronto, Steve (Donna) and grandsons, Clayton and Kelly, all of Kelowna. Survived by sister Muriel and Mildred (Gerry Russell) all of Winnipeg. Ron was born and raised in Winnipeg, a city he always fondly remembered. He served in the wartime RCAF on No. 86 Squadron (RAF) for two tours of operations as Flight Lieutenant Pilot and Crew Captain, on Liberators, remaining in the service until wars end. Post-war Ron joined Air Canada where he flew for some 33 years, retiring in 1978 as Senior Captain. He and Helen subsequently took up residence in Kelowna. Mr. Chadwicks Funeral Service will be held at First Memorial Chapel at 1211 Sutherland Ave., in Kelowna at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24 with Rt. Rev. Bishop Fraser Berry officiating. Cremation. Donation to the Kelowna Cancer Clinic, in lieu of flowers would be appreciated. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the devoted nursing staff at KGH during Mr. Chadwicks brief stay there. Angels of Mercy each and every one. Dad, may your final journey bring you peace, comfort, and the knowledge that your life has left a legacy like no other. We will love you forever.
