OLIVE (ALBINA) DUECK It is with great sorrow that the family of Olive (Albina) Dueck, nee Kopecki, announces her passing on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at the age of 68. Olive was predeceased by her parents, Emilie and Stanislaw Kopecki, and brother Stanley. She will be sadly missed, always loved and remembered by her husband of 44 years, Pete; children, Darren (Kelly), Darcy (Jackie), Wanda (Gord), Brenda (Pat) grandchildren, Riley, Kimberly, Nicholas, Matthew, Kelsey, Adam, Dylan and Miranda; sisters, Betty (Ted), Mary (Gord) brother Wenclas, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, sisters and brothers-in-law. Olive was born in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Canada at four years of age. Her family settled in Minitonas, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg as a young woman, married Pete in 1956, had four children, and moved to the Cooks Creek Area to raise their family. Olive devoted her entire life to her husband, their children and their grandchildren. She cherished them all dearly. She will be sadly missed by many friends as her love and devotion have touched many hearts over the years. Special thanks to Nurse Kathy, Dr. Bow and staff at the H.S.C. Cancer Clinic for their care and compassion. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m., with viewing at 12:30 p.m., in Oakbank United Church, with Rev. Dawn Ballantine-Dickson officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Oakbank United Church.
