Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMONIQUE LUCILLE HOOPER (nee HAMELIN) Suddenly on Monday, January 22, 2001, Monica passed away at the age of 54. She leaves to mourn her husband Rick; mother Irene; siblings, Denis (Marsha), Julie (Renouf), Pauline, twin Rachelle (Victor), Stella (Jack) Morris; many nieces, nephews, close aunts, uncles, cousins, two great-nephews, many friends and co-workers. Monica was predeceased by her father Cyril Hamelin; brother-in-law Dr. George Renouf and sister-in-law Jessie Hamelin. Monica graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1967 and worked at St. Boniface Hospital from 1970 to 1993 and was currently working in a personal care facility. Monicas greatest gift was the unconditional love she gave to her family. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (South of the Canadian Mint). Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, also at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Chapman, Noah Hamelin, Tyson Hilderman, Jirina Kun, Lazslo Pothe and George Siamandas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. "God embrace you. Rest well until we meet again."
