LOURDES de LEON It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Mamang, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Lourdes, at her home with her family at her side on January 20, 2001. Lourdes leaves to cherish her memory her children, Rey (Fely), Ramon, Roslyn (Jun), Emelie (Nick), Arlene, Edward (Malou), Edwin, Mar (Rhoda), and Mae (Ruben) grandchildren, Melanie, Cheryl, Lyra, Allain, Ramon Jr., Dwayne (Darlene), Bobby, Eric, Mark (Megan), Sheila, JR, Ricardo, Kevin, Krystle, Vanessa, Jessica, EJ, Darryl, Kenneth, Kristen, Maricar, Marvin, Marlon, Katelyn, Jonathan and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Detinee and Isiah and other extended family in Baolod City, Philippines. The family would like to thank Dr. Rubinger, Dr. Tran, Joanne and all the staff at Cancer Care Manitoba for their kind and compassionate care. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered "Come with Me". So when we saw you sleeping So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. Always remembered, always cherished. Each memory a part of us, a part of you, Never to be lost. Lamay will be held on Thursday, January 25 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight (prayers at 8:30 p.m.) and Friday, January 26 from 7:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Diosdado Parrenes at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 355 Andrews. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
