Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUCE EDGAR October 21, 1932 - January 20, 2001 It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Bruce Edgar on Saturday, January 20, 2001, after a brief battle with cancer, at the St. Boniface Hospital. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife Alison, who never left his side; his daughter Gail of Oshawa, Ontario; his son Andrew (Le-Ann Eidsness) of Ajax, Ontario; his son Stuart (Marta Darczewska) of Grand Forks, North Dakota; and his son Aaron at home. Bruce will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Luke and Matthew of Oshawa, Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents, Grace and Leslie Edgar of Whitley Bay, England. Bruce and Alison met on stage in England. They married in 1964 and immigrated to Canada in 1966. He built a career as a broadcast engineer and in 1994 received a lifetime achievement award for his years of excellent service in this field. For years he was an active member of Toastmasters and won several awards for his skill in public speaking. Bruces passion was acting and we could always be sure to find him involved in a commercial, a movie, or a play of some sort. Many of his closest friendships were formed during his involvement with The Tara Players. The troupes last plays opening performance was dedicated to him. A celebration of Bruces life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Irish Club, 654 Erin Street. It will be a time of sharing laughter and fond memories. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruces memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, (Manitoba Division) 193 Sherbrook St, Wpg., MB R3C 2B7. WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATIORIUM 897 - 4665
