WILLIAM H. WINSLOW Peacefully, in the loving arms of his family at home, William Winslow passed away January 21, 2001, at the age of 70. Willie will always be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Shirley; daughters, Lorna (Brian) Nazar and Leanne (Erin) Feilberg; son Lennard (Tanya) grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Justin, Tyler, Brendan, Lauren, Dylen, Riley, Lennox and Brooklen. He also leaves his brothers, Charlie and George and sisters, Rose and Kaye. Uncle Willie will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bill will be fondly remembered by his friends, especially Bob and Judy Partidge. He was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Isabelle, his sister Edna and brother Jack. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Southern Manitoba, he married Shirley, and they traveled around following work until they settled in Kenora, Ont. Bill experienced several different jobs before he started with TransCanada in 1963. TransCanada led him from Kenora to Falcon Beach, Man., where he worked until his retirement in 1995. During those years Bill was an active member of the Whiteshell Community Club and enjoyed fishing, boating, curling, snowmobiling and skiing. In 1991 Bill and Shirley moved from Falcon to East Braintree, building a new home to live out their retirement years. "He was the king of his castle, and his children and grandchildren were the jewels in his crown." Thanks for the years you gave us, for the good times that we shared. We only pray that when you left us, you knew how much we cared. The funeral service for William Winslow will be held Thursday, January 25, at All Peoples Church, Falcon Lake, Man., at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at East Braintree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Bills memory to the East Braintree Community Church or the Humane Society.
