WILLIAM (HOWARD) NORMAND Peacefully after a lengthy illness with Alzheimers, Howard Normand passed away at Riverview Health Centre on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at the age of 59 with his family at his side. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Gisele (nee Lafantaisie) of 35 years; three sons Richard (Marcilla), Guy (Janet), Gary (Kelly), his precious pride and joy grand-daughter Desiree. His brothers Leonard (Rose), Clovis, Lionel (Lyn), his sister Lillian. He also leaves his sisters-in-law Sophie, and Ester, special Godchild Rachel Choquette and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jule (1974), Valida (1998), brothers Fernand (1969) and Jerry (1983). Howard was always a loving husband, father and Pepere. His door was always open for family and friends, now it is his time to be welcomed home by God. The family extends grateful thanks to Dr. Barry Cambel and to all staff members of B1 for the special care given to Howard over the years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25 at St. Eugene Church, 1007 St. Marys Road with Father Toupin officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer Society, 120 Donald St., Wpg., R3C 4G2 or the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Wpg., R3L 9Z9.
