JOHN JANSEN Suddenly, on January 22, 2001, John Jansen passed away at the age of 78. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Anna; children Linda (David), Sandra, Lorna (Emilio), John, James, Shirley, and Melissa; grandchildren David, Bianca, Sheldon, and Sarah. Also surviving are brothers Abe and Jake and sister Susie, as well as many in-laws and relatives. John was born in the village of Neuanlage, SK. He and Anna farmed in Saskatchewan and Manitoba until 1959, before moving to Winnipeg. John retired after many years of service as an auto mechanic. "He will be sadly missed by all." In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations in memory of John may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3A 1P6. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2001, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Visitation will be held one half-hour prior to the service time.
