GORDON HUNT On January 21, 2001, at Tudor Home in Selkirk, Gordon Hunt passed away at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his wife Betty; his mother and father and brothers, Brian and Billy. Surviving are Gordons sons, Randy and Paul (Sylvia) daughter Carla (Roger) grandchildren, Matthew and Courtney; sisters, Irene and Dorothy. Gordon accomplished many things in his lifetime. He proudly served his country overseas in the Second World War for four years. Upon returning, he began to carve out for himself a long career in the life insurance industry. He took great pride in his knowledge of the field and in meeting the needs of his clientele. He helped many people through difficult times in their lives, always willing to lend a hand in some way. Gordon derived great satisfaction from his involvement in the Gyro Club, an organization through which he made many lifelong friends. He volunteered with many community organizations but was particularly fond of his work with the Winnipeg Humane Society as president and board member. He was very proud of both of his grandchildren and so supportive of their accomplishments. He so enjoyed his association with the Teulon Golf Club where he first introduced his grandson Matthew to the game. A memorial service for Gordon will be held on Friday, January 26, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Thank you to the staff at Tudor Home for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, Man., R2L 1X3. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
