JACK HORN It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, dad and grandpa at the Victoria General Hospital on January 22, 2001. Jack will be deeply missed by his loving wife Katie, son David, daughters Bev (Wendel) McConnell and Carolyn (Neil) Jones and granddaughters Jaclyn, Veronica, Holly and Tori. He also leaves to mourn his brothers August (Margaret), Leo (Emily) and sister Mary Ulstad as well as sister-in-laws Pearl and Wilma and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was born in La Salle, Manitoba on September 28, 1926. He lived and farmed in the Oak Bluff and surrounding area all his life. He was actively involved in the community. Jack took great pride in his family, watching his children and grandchildren grow-up. His favourite past-times included working around the yard and beating anyone, who was willing, at a game of cards. He always had time and really enjoyed visiting his neighbours. The service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2001 at Hope Lutheran Church, 1400 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB. at 1:30 p.m.. A private family interment was held at Garry Memorial Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation, #200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB. R3C 1L8.
